and how these messages oppressed women in general. As it turns out, many women found these ads tasteless including activists groups such as The National Women’s Liberation (NWL).

The NWL posted stickers with the message “This Oppresses Women” deliberately in order to express their position about these ads.
Consequently, I received pictures of images circulating in Toronto, in a similar fashion.

Toronto Cosmetic Clinic should rethink their marketing strategies more carefully.
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) has strict guidelines regarding advertising practices permitted for physicians and medical offices. It seems that no one respects these rules and perhaps soon everyone will be able to purchase highly skilled medical procedures with coupons and at discount websites…
